I believe that one of the most important life lessons is learning how to take care of oneself. Whatever you're going through, make sure to take the time to think, "What am I doing to take care of myself?". With those words, you will be able to better understand your actions, their effects, and what works.
This was very thought provoking! I definitely agree with what you are saying. I think that a lot of the time, we are very concerned about how others are feeling (don't get me wrong, this is great! People's genuine concern for others and others' feelings shows amazing kindness) and sometimes we might forget to think about how we are handling the situation and if we are doing okay. Going along with what you said, even taking a quick moment to ask you're self "how am I doing?" can really be influential. In fact, we were talking about something similar the other day in one of my classes. We are reading the book "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and we had a discussion about whether or not people today still take time to just think or if they are too caught up in the rush of this time period and don't take enough time to just reflect. I know that I have been really busy and have not taken this reflection time, but I'm inspired to cut a little time out of my day to just think. Thanks for the post :)
